This workshop was for parents with a child or young person who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) as they prepare to move from:
- Early Years to Primary
- Primary to Secondary
- Secondary to Post-16 education
This workshop was run with Kathie Canavan from Bexley IASS to help understand Phase Transfer and what it means for you and your child.
This session was designed for parents who may be asking:
- Do I get a say in which school my child goes to?
- Can I ask for a special school or specialist provision?
- What if the school I want says it cannot meet my child’s needs?
- What if the local authority names a school I do not agree with?
- What happens if key deadlines are missed?
This workshop covered:

- Signposting and sources of support
