SEND Reform White Paper: putting children and young people first
What is it?
It contains proposed changes to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, including early, fair support, with shared accountabilities across local partners.
Bexley Voice supported parent carers to understand and respond to the White Paper in the following ways:

We are actively engaged with the NNPCF (National Network of Parent Carer Forums) at a series of 6 sessions, dealing with different aspects of the White Paper. We represent your views which are then collated with those of other PCFs (Parent Carer Forums) and fed back to the Government.

The Department for Education (DfE) officially approved Bexley's Local SEND Reform Plan and lifted the borough's statutory SEND Improvement Notice. You can read the press release from Bexley here, and you can read the outcome letter from the DfE below:
