SEND Reform White Paper: putting children and young people first
What is it?
It contains proposed changes to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, including early, fair support, with shared accountabilities across local partners.
Bexley Voice will be supporting parent carers to understand and respond to the White Paper in the following ways:
- Workshop: Parent Carer Consultation on the SEND Reform White Paper on Tuesday 21 April, 9.30 – 12 noon at The Danson Youth Centre. No need to book, just come along. The workshop will include a brief presentation to explain the paper, then an opportunity to discuss and feedback your views. Many other PCFs (parent carer forums) are doing the same and our collective voices for the region will be fed back to Government.
- Slideshow presentation to explain the White Paper (coming soon).
We are actively engaged with the NNPCF (National Network of Parent Carer Forums) at a series of 6 sessions, dealing with different aspects of the White Paper. We represent your views which are then collated with those of other PCFs (Parent Carer Forums) and fed back to the Government.
We encourage you to respond directly to the Government too, through the consultation process:

The deadline for consultation is 18 May 2026.
