Who can help?
- The Local Offer website details benefits or grants that parents, carers, children and young person may be entitled to.
- Carers' Support Bexley is able to support parents and carers of children and young people with DLA (Disability Living Allowance) and PIP (Personal Independence Payment) up to and including appeals.
- Citizens Advice can offer advice on benefits and has lots of useful information on their website.
- Contact can offer advice on benefits, other financial support and completing claim forms. Their national freephone helpline can also put you in touch with local help to complete any forms. Call 0808 888 3555 to find out more.
- Family Fund are the UK’s largest provider of grants to low-income families raising disabled and seriously ill children and young people. They help ease the additional pressures families face. They can help with essential items such as washing machines, fridges and clothing but can also consider grants for sensory toys, computers and much needed family breaks together. They help families across the UK who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person aged 17 or under.

- Entitledto is a national organisation helping people find out what they could claim.
- Turn2Us offer a benefit calculator and also a search facility for grants for disabled children and young people.
