We were delighted to welcome nearly 100 parents and carers to our SEND Health Focus Day, which focused on Neurodiversity and Mental Health. The event was extremely well attended and demonstrated the strong demand for high-quality, accessible support for SEND families across the borough.
The day brought together an impressive 35 multi-disciplinary professionals, offering expert advice, practical guidance, and meaningful support to families.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to:
- Tamsin Cox, Principal Educational Psychologist, London Borough of Bexley, for her invaluable expertise
- Emily Coribel and Mindy Duckworth from the Oxleas Mental Health in Schools Team, for their excellent contribution
- All of the professionals who attended the marketplace
- Our dedicated volunteers, whose commitment and enthusiasm were essential to the event’s success
- The staff at The Danson Youth Centre, whose support helped create a welcoming and inclusive environment
This highly successful event highlighted the strength of partnership working across education, health, and the voluntary sector, and reinforced our shared commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
