Bexley IASS are offering bookable, 1-1 free Information & Advice sessions for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND. These are face-to-face sessions at ERITH LIBRARY, not online. If you cannot access the library, please contact the IASS team to discuss.
This is a valuable opportunity to discuss any education, health, or social care issues related to your child's SEND with the Bexley IASS team and receive expert advice.
Each individual Information & Advice session will last for 30 minutes.
Here are examples of enquiries you might bring to the session:
- Advice on SEN support in schools
- Information regarding Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or the EHC needs assessment process
- Guidance on reduced timetables, exclusions, and Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
- Understanding health diagnosis pathways
- Understanding the Individual Health Care Plan (IHP)
- Understanding personal budgets and direct payments
- Understanding the mediation and SEND tribunal process
