An Introduction to Preparing for Adulthood

This workshop is aimed primarily at parent carers of young people who have an EHCP and are currently in Year 8. It will also be relevant to those in Year 9 and above and those who receive SEN support.
The workshop is designed to:
- Provide timely information about the Preparing for Adulthood process that will start in Year 9, for those with an EHCP
- Explain what should happen from Year 9 onwards (or Year 11, for those with SEN Support)
- Signpost to useful resources and further support
- Help parent carers to understand their role in the process and how to prepare to support their young people
